Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. The majority of her childhood listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic music and older classical songs. Ana loves tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she started more intense singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. After relocating to California in United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition in the present.
