Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Following the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington in Ohio and moved in Los Angeles. Her first role came to her, as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. Her performance of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder In Greenwich in 2002 earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she was the main actor for the first two seasons. She was also awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog during 2005, wanted to move into the world of film. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) in Suburban Girl as well as The Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two episodes. This included the finale of the series. The actress was featured in 2013's six-season of Californication. The actress plays Faith an actress in a group and as her muse to the stars that catches the attention of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens, she began to work on small roles with her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko alongside her sister. The year 2002 saw her appeared as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned their Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following numerous highly successful films, including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother who has a child earned her nomination to the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. She subsequently starred in the comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (2012). Alongside her work as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). The latest roles included her character as the primary protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's first film as a director and writer was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological thriller in which she won the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. She also received the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
